On Wednesday, 19 November (11:00–12:45 UTC+1), the SINGLE, FuelSOME and AMON projects will jointly host a specialised workshop dedicated to one of the key technological challenges in ammonia-based energy systems: materials integrity. As ammonia emerges as a promising carbon-free energy carrier, ensuring durable, efficient, and safe energy conversion devices becomes essential. This webinar brings together leading experts from major European research institutions and industry to explore how materials behave under ammonia environments, how they degrade, and which new solutions are being developed to increase the lifetime and performance of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and ammonia cracker systems. Participants will gain insight into degradation mechanisms, high-temperature material innovations, advanced testing methodologies, and protective strategies necessary for unlocking ammonia’s full potential in future energy systems.
You can join the online webinar for free — simply register here at this link.
This joint workshop represents a significant opportunity for the research community, industrial stakeholders, and technology developers to advance the conversation on durable, high-performance ammonia-fuelled energy systems. SINGLE is proud to contribute to this collaborative effort toward cleaner, more resilient energy technologies.
